Hereโ€™s where you come in:

World Vision International seeks a Chief of Party (COP) for an anticipated five-year United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food for Progress program in Cambodia worth approximately USD $20 - 39 million and anticipated to commence in October 2024. The programโ€™s objectives are (I) to increase agricultural productivity and (II) to expand access to trade through local, regional, and international markets. This project will focus on improving implementation and development of food safety regulations and capacity building in Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) in Cambodia.

As the Chief of Party (COP), you will provide overall vision, technical expertise and administrative leadership for the program and serve as the projectโ€™s representative with USDA, the government of Cambodia and other key stakeholders. You will ensure high quality and timely submission of program deliverables. The successful candidate should possess extensive experience managing programs, finance, and operations of USDA or other international donor-funded projects.

Please note: this position is contingent upon funding and donor approval.

Requirements include:

  • Advanced degree in Agricultural Science, Agriculture economics, Agribusiness, International Trade, Agricultural Development or other relevant fields of study related to the project.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in similar position within fields relevant to the results and objectives of the project, required for the successful implementation of the project. This experience should include agricultural market systems; trade; international food safety standards; sanitary and phytosanitary improvement; as well as an understanding of policy, economics, and trade issues in these sectors.
  • Proven leadership experience and skills as Project Director or Chief of Party demonstrating expertise in the design, management, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of similar size and complex international donor-supported projects. Leading activities involving coordination with multiple program partner institutions. Skills in strategic planning, management, supervision, and budgeting.
  • Fluency in oral and written English.
