Passerelles Numรฉriques (PN) is a French non-profit organization, created in 2005, operating in Cambodia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Madagascar.

Our mission is to unlock the potential of underprivileged youth by empowering them with innovative education in key digital and soft employability skills. Our goal is that each student finds a quality job aligned with local tech market needs, allowing them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way and contribute to the social and economic development of their country.

We provide training in our centers in Southeast Asia, and a pre-preparatory program to enter university at our center in Madagascar. From their first day of school, until graduation, and their first job, we support each of our students on their journey. After studying at PN, our students become web developers, analysts, app testersโ€ฆ and can find a quality jobs for life. At least 50% of our students are young women. PN contributes directly to 5 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

MISSION

Reporting to the Global Director of Partnerships & Communication (Global Director) based in France, this role will manage major funders outside the countries led by local teams (Europe/Africa/Asia). Together with the Global Director, they will define the fundraising strategy create action plans accordingly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

She/he will:

PARTNERSHIPS

Implement the action plan and be the main contact for funders in their portfolio.

Existing Partnerships Management

Maintain and develop a network of partnerships with companies to

  • Promote the project
  • Propose partnerships offers
  • Research funding or in-kind donation opportunities
  • Ensure the admin management of each partnership is well-organized (agreement, donation follow-up, thank you processโ€ฆ)
  • Ensure a good and bespoke reporting to each partner is in place (financial and narrative)
  • Keep the partners/donorsโ€™ relations active
  • Develop new partnership ideas
  • Elaborate a communication and events plan.

Individual donors & small companies

  • Implement the individual donor fundraising action plan to PN stakeholders (campaigns to individual donors, small companies)
  • Prospect new opportunities including in-person networking
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward the portfolio of donors and prospects โ€” including individual, corporate, and institutional partners from Europe and Asia
  • Update donor information in Salesforce.

FUNDING

This role will be the lead in implementing the annual funding prospection plan.

With the Global Grant Officer,

Reporting & Database Management

  • Ensure that all intermediate and/or final reports for donors and partners are prepared and sent in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the local teams update the data on the PN Indicator monitoring sheet as well as the data on Salesforce
  • Contribute to the improvement of the monitoring systems.

COORDINATION & SUPPORT

  • Participate in weekly internal global coordination meetings
  • Lead and coordinate the ERO meetings:
  • Bi-weekly meetings with individual countries: ERO teams share and exchange recent activities
  • Monthly ERO coordination meetings with all countries. Ensure all emerging opportunities and changing priorities are communicated to the centers.
  • Train new members of center staff in Salesforce use.
  • Work with the local ERO managers to keep track of all proposals planned by the local teams (the Global Director, the Country Representative and the Executive Director (when applicable) must validate important proposals).

FINANCE

  • Communicate regularly with the finance manager on updates of the income forecast (i.e. late payment of donation or grant) to keep the Cash flow statement up to date
  • Work with the Finance Manager to prepare funding proposals budgets.

TEAM MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT

  • Lead in the hiring and the integration of new team members
  • Plan the activities of the ERO team and follow up progress
  • Follow up each staff memberโ€™s performance during the year and perform a mid-term and a yearly performance appraisal
  • Manage all HR related subjects (illness, holidays ...).

OTHER

  • Actively contribute to cross centers information sharing and common projects
  • Organize and take part in events, workshops, trainings, outings and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evenings
  • Liaise with colleagues and work flexibly
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Respect school rules and regulations.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION

Bachelor or Masterโ€™s degree in international relations / international cooperation field or similar

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years of experience in fundraising, ideally in the field of international solidarity

Experience in identifying and developing fundraising opportunities

Demonstrated track record of writing project proposals and obtaining grant funding for development projects from various donors (corporate, foundations, institutional donors)

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

IT Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience with Google Suite

Good command on communication tools and Mailchimp, Canva, Airtable and Salesforce is a plus

Proven relationship building skills and ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide variety of people and organisations

Substantial analytical, technical aptitude and problem solving skills

Proactive in following through with deadlines and ability to prioritize

Able to convince and develop partnership opportunities

Results-oriented

Excellent interpersonal and people management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of cultures where we operate is a plus - Cambodia, Madagascar, the Philippines, & Vietnam

LANGUAGES

Fluent in written French and English
