Manager โ Business Development
ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic and professional Indian nationals for the position of โManager โ Business Developmentโ. The incumbent will be working under the direction and supervision of Director - Business Development and will be responsible for Business Development, Donor Intelligence, and Donor Relations.ย The selected candidate would be maintaining the institutional pipeline and grants and contracts management system. ย The position is based at ICRISAT Headquarters in Patancheru, Telangana State, India.

Responsibilities:ย ย
ยทย ย ย ย Collate data on donor intelligence and assist the Director, Business Development in devising effective fundraising strategies.ย
ยทย ย Contribute to and oversee the generation of Management Information Systems (MIS) reports on projects pipeline, grants and contracts periodically as required by the management.ย ย
ยทย ย ย ย Create and implement timely and effective donor intelligence dissemination to all internal stakeholders.ย ย
ยทย Advise research programs and working groups on relevant donor requirements/compliance, potential funding opportunities, changes in donor priorities, and ensuring quality grant management for all related projects.ย
ยทย ย Coordination of the planning, development, and management of the resource mobilization initiatives and activities, including the development of grants management tools to ensure the effective engagement of stakeholders in raising resources for the institute.ย ย
ยทย ย Advise and assist scientists in the preparation and processing of proposal packaging as per donor requirements; draft and provide letters of support, etc.ย ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Support the Director, Business Development in business development activities.ย
- Any other responsibility as directed by the Director, Business Development.ย

ยทย ย Ability to closely liaise with Leaders and staff of different units such as Financial Services, Program/Regional Directors, Research Leadership and scientists etc.ย
ยทย ย A broad understanding of intellectual property concerning reviewing and processing contracts and agreements.ย
ยทย ย Ability to proactively liaise with the researchers and line staff across different cultures.ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to facilitate multi-locational administrative processes/procedures.ย ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Ability to work in a multicultural environment and as a team member.ย ย
ยทย ย ย Ability to manage tasks independently or with limited supervision to meet agreed timelinesย ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office software, IT tools Like Salesforce.ย ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Experience with CG Systems will be an added advantage.

Requirements:ย ย
- Masterโs in Business Management / Post Graduate Diploma with a specialization in Marketing or Business Management and with combination of bachelorโs degree in agricultural or allied sciences will be preferredย ย
- At least 8-10 years of experience in business development in an international or national research organization within development or R4D sectors.ย ย
- Advanced communication skills in English (written and spoken)ย ย
- Knowledge of related IT-enabled or CRM (customer relationship management) tools like Salesforce, MS Office products, etc. is necessaryย ย
- Hands-on problem-solving with strong analytical abilities.ย
- Fluency in written and spoken and written English is mandatory.ย
- Knowledge of French or any other international language will be an added advantage.
General:
This is Contractual position initially for a period of three years (36 months) renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the instituteโs continuing need for the position.
