Overview

Projects Clinic Consulting (PCC) is an expansive research, monitoring, and evaluation organization based in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) since 2019. Our essential services include detailed program evaluations, public opinion surveys, independent monitoring, and economic empowerment services. PCC maintains a significant presence in the region, with offices supported by both a dedicated remote technical unit and our overarching remote headquarters.

Job Summary

PCC is looking for a native English speaker or expert with strong background in business development and third-party research and evaluation. The expert will lead the development of key proposals and bids focused on third party research, monitoring and other consultancies. The bids include proposals for different agencies that PCC worked/is working with such as GiZ, UNICEF, OCHA, UNHCR, UNDP, WHO, and other international organizations. He/she should have strong M&E and research skills in addition to strong writing and analytical skills.

Objective:

In this dynamic role, the would-be expert will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)/Research Projects Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director. Projects Clinic Consulting seeks a proficient individual skilled in both M&E and business development, with a particular emphasis on crafting compelling proposals. You will spearhead the creation and submission of high-caliber proposals aimed at diverse clients such as UN agencies, International/Non-Governmental Organizations (I/NGOs), and other funding entities.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the formulation of bids or proposals, with a particular focus on those related to Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research, especially targeting UN and other international bids.
  • Assist the BD team in drafting and refining technical proposals for a variety of projects including research, external evaluations, baseline and endline assessments, needs assessments, capacity building, and market assessments.
  • Coordinate with the BD Head to track and manage upcoming opportunities, ensuring thorough preparation and execution.
  • Ensure timely submission of all proposal documentation.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients throughout the proposal development process.
  • Adhere to submission deadlines and keep proposal trackers current.
  • Assist the M&E and research teams by proofreading documents and translating materials between English and French.
  • QA the work produced by BD interns and other staff as required.
  • Oversee the end-to-end process of proposal submission under the guidance of the Managing Director.
  • Tackle additional responsibilities as necessitated by the evolving business and work demands.
  • This position is remote; however, preference will be given to candidates located within three hours of the Turkey time zone due to our company's operations base in the MENA region.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrated proficiency in M&E skills.
  2. Experience in business development, specifically in drafting bids and tenders for M&E, research opportunities, and capacity-building initiatives.
  3. Exceptional writing capabilities.
  4. Native or near-native proficiency in English.
  5. A relevant university degree (e.g., in social sciences, M&E, development studies).
  6. A strong understanding of the development/humanitarian sector.
  7. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  8. Robust research skills.
  9. Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
  10. Outstanding organizational and analytical abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
  11. Ability to thrive in a multicultural working environment.
