Terms of Reference1. General Background

This role is part of the Global Analyst Team within the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP). The PSP team is responsible for analyzing fundraising activities, setting targets, and reporting on the performance of the fundraising network. As a member of the Global Analyst Team, the incumbent will support the expansion of analysis and insight capabilities.
2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment
The Associate PSP Officer (AI Developer) will play a pivotal role in enhancing the analytical capabilities of the Global Analyst Team within the Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP). This position is dedicated to developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to optimize fundraising strategies, improve data-driven decision-making, and support the overall mission of the UNHCR in protecting and assisting refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless individuals.
Under the overall supervision of PSP Business Analyst Officer and Assistant PSP Officer, the incumbent will assist in the following:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI models to analyze fundraising data and predict trends.
- Implement machine learning algorithms to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fundraising activities.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows. Utilize AI tools to extract actionable insights from large datasets.
- Provide detailed reports and visualizations to support strategic decision-making.
- Continuously monitor and refine AI models to ensure optimal performance
- Work closely with the Global Analyst Team to understand their analytical needs and challenges.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on AI tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with other PSP teams to align AI initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.
- Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve fundraising efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Monitoring and Progress Controls
The Associate PSP Officer will regularly meet with the Business Analyst Officer, focusing on clear, agreed-upon goals, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). These KPIs and OKRs will be set during the initial meeting and onboarding phase and reviewed in brief weekly check-ins. Monthly, the Associate PSP Officer will report on their progress towards these KPIs and OKRs, highlighting successes and areas for improvement. A detailed review will assess their overall achievement of goals, offering constructive feedback and guidance will be in place at the end of the assignment time.
4. Qualifications and Experience
A. Education
The right candidate holds at least a bachelorโs degree in fields like math, statistics, computer science, business administration and other relevant fields.
B. Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years (2 years for masterโs degree holder) of relevant working experience.
- Utilized cloud-based AI/ML services (e.g., Azure Machine Learning, Vertex AI) and tools for model development, training, and deployment.
- Focused on building and deploying AI applications. Experience with integrating ML models into larger systems and working with APIs -
- Deep understanding of Azure or GCP cloud services. Experience with deploying and managing ML infrastructure, including containerization and orchestration. Proficient in scripting and automation.
C. Key Competencies
- Essential Technical and Cross-Functional competencies
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Hands-on experience with either Azure (Azure Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Data Factory) or GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud AI Platform, Dataflow).
- Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing services (e.g., Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage).
- Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
- Experience with containerization technologies is a plus.

6. Location and Conditions
This is a remote-working position. The successful candidate will be home-based, and work with colleagues globally.
It is a full-time role starting from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week).
