Job Summary:

The Associate Director will provide strategic and technical leadership for the design, execution, and monitoring of EpiC Global Health Security (GHS) activities at the country level. This role will deliver high-level technical support to national and sub-national government ministries to strengthen core GHS capacities, ensuring alignment with international frameworks and standards. As the primary technical focal point for all EpiC GHS activities in-country, the Associate Director will collaborate closely with the Country Project Director to coordinate program implementation with government counterparts, donors, and other key actors. implementation projects to strengthen outbreak preparedness and response systems. Key responsibilities include leading the technical team in planning, implementing and monitoring EpiC GHS activities with rigor, timeliness and quality, ensuing project objectives are achieved, particularly in increasing capacity to prevent, detect and respond to infectious disease threats and in advancing progress towards 7-1-7. The Technical Director is responsible for leading the development of technical deliverables, including workplans, concept notes, standard operating procedures and other technical outputs.

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project, funded by the United States government, to achieve HIV epidemic control and strengthen global health security (GHS). EpiC is led by FHI 360 with core partners Right to Care, Palladium, and Population Services International (PSI)
