Purpose of the Job

The Assistant Analyst provides support to more senior colleagues in all areas such as data collection and processing, financial analysis and monitoring, reporting, maintenance of databases, and execution of certain administrative functions critical to the functioning of Agribusiness and Agribusiness Advisory, such as processing of contracts and invoices or recharges of donor resources. The Assistant Analyst works on day-to-day basis on clear responsibility areas, both for internal (e.g. management accounts and donor recharges) and external purposes (e.g. financial reporting to donors). The Assistant Analyst will create and maintain the structure of certain dedicated functions based on donor agreements and guidance from more senior colleagues, as well as supporting the process of related payments. The Assistant Analyst will need to interact autonomously with external consultants and internally, some parts of EBRD Finance (e.g., Budget, Invoice Control, Donor Funds Operational Control).

Although the Assistant Analyst can be occasionally engaged in support functions to more senior colleagues, it is expected that their role predominantly requires independent processing and time management, administrative control, responsibility over data creation, processing and management, comprehensive and accurate records of projects/data in the management information system and their status, and maintaining databases of clients and consultants. The position will be required to interact continuously with the network of regional bankers, budget officers, administrative staff, as the case may be, in the supervision and analysis of projects/data being undertaken in their respective regions.

The Assistant Analyst can be allocated special control/supervision functions related to special programmes which require a constant interaction with service providers and stakeholders inside and outside the Bank.
