Purpoe of the Job

The Communications Department is responsible for leading all aspects of corporate communications, advancing the Bankโ€™s mission, vision and goals through various channels amongst external and internal audiences.

The Assistant Analyst is essential to all activities of the Communications team, vital for the smooth running of an organisation. They are expected to have a good understanding of the latest digital communication trends and tools.

Background

This roleโ€™s prime focus is on effective and impactful communications โ€“ ensuring audiences are informed and engaged in the day-to-day work and the EBRDโ€™s mission.

The Assistant Analyst is responsible for drafting, editing, preparing and measuring communications content in wider communications channels. They are expected to have a good understanding and experience of the latest communication trends and tools.

The Assistant Analyst is a member of a team and is expected to be able to demonstrate initiative, manage multiple tasks and to keep abreast of EBRD investments, strategies and events.

  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships across the EBRD;
  • No numerical targets but post holder will need to deliver a strong stream of high-quality content illustrating the Bankโ€™s activities and people.
  • Supporting various team within Communications

    Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    • Assist with the delivery of Communications goals
    • Produce, distribute and measure the use of communication products
    • Update and create content for communications channels
    • Support the introduction of a new communication channels
    • Research the latest communications practices
    • Develop and maintain a strong range of internal EBRD contacts in order to have the access to key EBRD information necessary;
    • Provide support and coordination support to other project activities across communications

      Academic/Professional Qualifications

      • University degree or equivalent experience

        Experience

        • At least 1-2 years relevant professional experience, ideally working in Communications;
        • Good understanding of the Bankโ€™s operations and people;
        • Knowledge of internal communications and engagement trends

          Knowledge and skills

          • Fluency in English and relevant languages;
          • Good writing skills, including editorial accuracy and ability to edit concisely;
          • Effective, persuasive and diplomatic communication skills;
          • Keen interest in and knowledge of the EBRD countries of operations;
          • Excellent organisational and planning skills;
          • Ability to use virtual event platforms, such as Webex and Microsoft teams;
          • Ability to use various types of computer software, including Content Management Systems, such as Oracle;
          • Ability to work independently while also knowing when to seek advice;
          • Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment with changing priorities;

            Passion for innovation and progressing internal communications, with knowledge of best practice and trends.
