What we are looking for
NRC Syria is looking for an Area Manager to join the North-East Area Office. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring high-quality and cost-effective programme/project implementation in the designated geographic area.

What You Will Do
Provide effective leadership to the Area team: regular organisation of Senior Management Team meetings to ensure the flow of information between the area and the country office; participation in Programme meetings; performance management of direct reports. Ensure strong coordination and cooperation between support departments in the area office and centralized technical managers ensuring a common vision and positive collaboration. Represent NRC at the sub-national level with local stakeholders and national and international NGOs. Represent NRC with area-based donors. With the support of the Area Team, take the lead on the repositioning of NRC in the area to better respond to the changing humanitarian needs. Provide regular input to advocacy initiatives. Accountable for safe programming at the area level in line with NRC Protection Policy and guidelines. What You Will Bring
Minimum 4 years of experience from working as a senior project manager in a humanitarian/recovery context. Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Experience in expanding Shelter/WASH programming is a great advantage. Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of the context in Syria. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities. Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile.What We Offer
