JOB CONTEXT:
From February 2022, HI has re-opened a Country Programme in Ukraine to respond to the humanitarian needs triggered by the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. In 2024, HI pillars of interventions are:
HI has 3 hubs, one in the East (based in Dnipro with a sub base in Poltava), one in the North East (based in Kharkiv), one in the South (based in Mykolaiv) and the coordination office is in Kyiv.
YOUR MISSION:
As Area Manager for the South hub:
\u00b7 you report directly to the Operations Manager,
\u00b7 you contribute in the area where you are based to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion,
\u00b7 you ensure optimal quality and the impact of the projects implemented in your area by means of a delegation system with appropriate oversight mechanisms.
\u00b7 With all the other HI managers, you share responsibility for the sound management and effective functioning of the global organisation through paradigm changes.
\u00b7 you manage directly a team of project managers in your area.
In this framework, your main missions are:

Mission 5: Emergency Preparedness and Response
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION:
The security situation in Ukraine remains relatively stable, although air alert is frequently active. There is a strict curfew, the hours depend on the region.
Movements between sites can be made by car (Hi drivers) or by train, depending of the region and time.
Requirements
YOUR PROFILE:
You have good experience in team management, particularly in helping team members to progress and become autonomous, You understand well operational partnerships and care for them, showing good contact and ability to discuss with partners (local authorities, other NGOs, etc). You master planning, monitoring and coordination systems, You can adapt to a conflictual context (Ukraine)Benefits

12 months International contract starting from 10th March 2025; The international contract provides social cover adapted to your situation: Unemployment insurance benefits for EU nationals; Pension scheme; Medical coverage with 50% of employee contribution; Repatriation insurance paid by HI; Salary from 2869 \u20ac gross/month upon experience; Perdiem: 521 \u20ac net/month - paid in payroll Hardship: 500 \u20ac net/month paid with your salary; Paid leaves: 25 days per year; R&R: 5 days every 8 weeks Position unaccompanied: Payment for travel costs (air ticket & visa) and transport of your personal effects; A child allowance of 100\u20ac per month, per child (from the second child) paid in payroll; Housing taken in charge by HI; If you are resident in the country: local package.
