Ukraine Analysis Hub has been monitoring the humanitarian situation conflict in Ukraine and producing timely, independent, and high-quality analytical products on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine and the region since March 2022. Since its inception, the UAH has delivered a comprehensive set of analytical products, including in-depth analytical reports and datasets.
- The Ukraine Master Datasetย consolidates around 60 sub-indicators for tracking trends and changes in the humanitarian situation, allowing for timely time series and area-based analyses to support the prioritization of aid.ย
- ACAPSโ Thematic analysisย has largely focused on incorporating the voices of the affected communities and community-based responders, such as Ukrainian NGOs or volunteers, into our analysis and supporting them to be able to better communicate with the international response structures.ย
- ACAPS also provides analyses that seek to highlightย future concerns or emerging trendsย โ specifically regular risk analysis and scenario-building.ย
- Our access portfolioย is the most comprehensive resource on access in the response, supporting strategic decision-making and advocacy on the access situation across the country. In in-depth access analyses, including datasets providingย subnational access scoresย and reports with a comprehensive compilation of information related to access incidents and challenges, are publicly available.ย

- Establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders and donors, with the purpose of improving information exchange, relevance of the Hubโs analysis products and maintaining awareness of key humanitarian issues.
Management
Provide operational and strategic guidance to maximize the Hubโs relevance to the response and maintain high-quality products.Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of project activities in line with the ACAPS guidelines.Develop and monitor project progress, including financial management, reporting and compliance with the donor requirements.Monitor and assess project risks.Develop the strategy and related fundraising approach for the continuation of the HubEnsure roles and responsibilities of the team are well-definedRecruitment and management of staff and consultantsEnsure that MEAL processes are taking place and changes are implemented based on findings.Coordinate with other ACAPS Hubs, including the CrisisInSight team on ACAPS global products.ยTechnical Oversight
Be responsible for the technical quality of all Hub products, providing sign-off for all products on behalf of ACAPS.ย Oversee the design of ACAPS thematic research.Operational Processes
Ensure all ACAPS operational processes are in place and implemented (supervision of the project coordinator priorities: coordination with support services and other global ACAPS colleagues; analysis production process; follow up of internal coordination and planningโฆ).Knowledge and experienceย
Masterโs degree, preferably in humanitarian action, management, social sciences, international relations, research, or international development.ย A bachelorโs degree with an additional 2 years of experience will be accepted instead.10 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, including at least 5 years of management experience and at least one in a conflict setting.ย Experience leading multi-disciplinary, multinational, remote teams in complex environmentsDemonstrated experience in analyzing humanitarian crises.Significant understanding of humanitarian needs assessments and working with primary and secondary data, qualitative and quantitative methodologies, assetย Experience designing and/or carrying out research (primary, secondary, or both)Experience in the workings of the UN system and humanitarian operations across a variety of geographical areasย Understanding of humanitarian coordination structuresSuccessful fundraising experienceExcellent knowledge of Ukraine's economics, politics, social and cultural dynamics, and historyย Large professional networks in Ukraine and Poland, assetPrevious experience with ACAPS is an asset, as is experience working within the humanitarian response in UkraineProven ability to deliver against targets and meet deadlines within a short timeframeย Very strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and oralย Fluent written and spoken English; Ukrainian and/or Polish an assetย Excellent computer skills (MS Office incl., Excel spreadsheets, word-processing)Behavioural Competencies
