The Department of Management promotes effective governance of the Joint Programme and
provides strategic direction to overarching management functions in the areas of change management, human resources (HR), finance, budget, information technology and administration to enhance UNAIDS' capacity to implement its mandate and vision.

The purpose of the Change Management Team is to lead, coordinate and advocate for the UNAIDS change agenda in order to deliver against the Global AIDS Strategy, 2021-2026. The team enables organizational and cultural change by developing a platform, tools and communications to engage and support staff by implementing Alignment and the UNAIDS change agenda. It transparently monitors and communicates change results in keeping with the UNAIDS goals of an equal, safe and empowering organization. The team also facilitates, supports, catalyzes and communicates UNAIDS progress towards greater gender equality, diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at the structural, non-structural and cultural levels. Main tasks and Responsibilities of the Position:
Under the supervision of the Director, Change-Management and with matrixed management from the Director of Communications, the incumbent has the following responsibilities:

1. Play a key role in translating organization's vision and policies, developing and implementing strategic and tactical communication and advocacy strategies to ensure staff engagement and visibility;

2. Oversee the internal communication function at UNAIDS, including development of an internal communications strategy, recruitment and management of the team and resources.

3. Manage the content of the UNAIDS intranet, keep the landing page up-to-date and accurate, ensuring the platform is always functional, and coordinating technical teams' focal points in keeping their internal sites up-to-date and accurate.

4. Coordinate the editorial calendar of internal stories, campaigns, newsletters and materials ensuring UNAIDS staff members are informed of organizational priorities and announcements.

5. Coordinate and organize opportunities for staff engagement, such as townhalls and other all-staff events, preparing scripts, talking points, and promotion.

6. Establish and monitor the achievement of KPIs. Compile and analyze data from internal communications platforms to increase content performance.

7. Proactively advise new initiatives involving staff members with positioning, writing, identifying needs and platforms.

8. Develop crisis communication strategies.

9. Review all internal communications to ensure policy coherence, consistency and support good positioning.

10. Promote and develop communications of the UNAIDS Secretariat with the Joint Programme and with PCB.

11. Advise and brief staff across the Secretariat on the policy and advocacy related communications, content, presentation and soliciting of contributions.

12. Perform other related responsibilities as assigned, including replacing, and backstopping for other department staff.

13. With the delegated authority, to represent the Director Change-Management.

14. Undertake related assignments as required by the Director Change-Management, the Director of Communications, and the Cabinet of UNAIDS. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education:
Essential: Advanced university degree at masterโ€™s level or equivalent in in communications, marketing, digital marketing/digital communications. For internal candidates only, a first university degree and 9 years of relevant professional experience will be considered equivalent. Competencies:

Essential:

1. Seven (7) yearsโ€™ experience of overseeing communications teams and initiatives, including leadership experience at the international level, including working in fast-paced environment.

2. Knowledge and experience of producing a variety of content.

3. Experience in project management, advocacy, and staff engagement.

4.Demonstrated experience in communications on AIDS, health, or development related issues, and in addressing issues of organizational culture transformation (gender, diversity, equity and inclusion). Languages:
Essential: Advanced knowledge of English.

Desirable: Knowledge of another UN official language. Additional Information:
Positions at the international professional category within UNAIDS will be subject to the Organization's Mobility Policy. Annual salary: (Net of tax)
77,326 at single rate
Post Adjustment: 89.7 % of the figure(s) on the left side. This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
