Action Contre la Faim (ACF) has been operational since 2010 in Northeast and has been able to successfully implement integrated programs in Nutrition, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) further the mission has expanded its programs in the wake of conflict in Borno state since 2017, focusing on long term sustainable programs focused on system strengthening for Health, WASH, Social Protection, and Agriculture sectors. The mission is currently in the process to launch response in the Northwest Nigeria. In 2018, ACF launched the Rapid Response Mechanism in Nigeria in an effort to address the urgent humanitarian assistance to the displaced populations in Northern Nigeria. With this Approach ACF is among the lead agency that is currently reaching the NE &NW regions with Rapid Humanitarian assistance for to the conflict and other disaster affected population. Currently, without conspiring LGAs reached on RRM modality, ACF is providing an integrated humanitarian response in Yobe State (12 Local Government Areas, LGAs), Borno (11 LGAs), Bauchi (2 LGAs) and Jigawa (6 LGAs) with partial presence in Kano. Despite the remarkable achievements in humanitarian sector, ACF, as other humanitarian actors, has been continuously affected by the shrinking humanitarian space.
The mission currently employs 25 international and 345 national staff, working from the coordination office (Abuja), field offices in Maiduguri, Potiskum, Dutse and Bade.
Votre poste et vos responsabilitรฉs
Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director Support, your role will be to define the Country Office's Human Resources policy and coordinate its implementation and deployment on all bases in order to provide the best possible support to programs.
More precisely, you will be in charge of:
- Contributing to defining mission strategy, supervising the staff administration and payroll.
- Managing the Human Resources team at Capital and providing technical support to Human Resources team in the bases.
- Providing the recruitment and training of all employees and promote career development.
- Ensuring a coherent organization of work and establish a policy of compensation and benefits.
- Implementing collective rules and communicating these internally.
- Promoting and coordinating Human Resources with the missionโs partners.
- Preventing and managing cases of fraud and corruption.
- Managing the Human Resources team and the home staff in capital and be support/technical Manager for Human Resources Managers in the bases.
Votre profil
- You have a Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Science or International Relation. Human resources professional qualifications and training is an added advantage.
- You have at least 3 years of relevant experience as a HR professional with experience in the INGO sector preferably as part of a senior management team.
- You have an experience in Emergency and Humanitarian contexts.
- You are knowledgeable in all aspects of Human Resource Management including team management and working in an intercultural environment.
- You are highly organized, disciplined, detail oriented and work well under pressure.
- You are self motivated and capable to analyzing information with the aim of arriving at conclusions with minimal guidance.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication as well as be computer literate especially when it comes to report writing and analysis.
- Experiences with ACF is an added advantage.
