Technical reports and monitoring reports on IT system performance. 7. Post-event summaries, documentation, and dissemination of final reports and outputs. 8. Support for desk studies and data visualization on regional climate change projects. Work LocationAddis Ababa Expected duration6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the ACPC Information Management Officer and the general supervision of the Chief of ACPC, the Individual Contractor will perform the following tasks: A. Information Systems and Knowledge Management โข Provide technical support for computer systems, databases, and applications at ACPC; perform troubleshooting and system monitoring. โข Support the development, programming, testing, debugging, and implementation of new computer applications and website modules; conduct version management. โข Assist in designing and maintaining ACPC web and database systems according to UN IT standards. โข Maintain technical documentation for computer application systems and manage changes in line with change management procedures. โข Support data backup, security, recovery, and user training for IT systems. โข Assist in identifying user system needs, conducting workflow and document management analysis, and developing classification, retention, and archival procedures. โข Conduct research on new IT tools and technologies, propose acquisitions, and assist with implementation. B. Digital Communication and Web Support โข Design and maintain ACPC and ARFSD-12 web pages, upload content, and format materials. โข Develop and maintain online discussion forums, registration forms, and event sub-sites, including multimedia content and social media integration. โข Disseminate ACPC knowledge products and ARFSD-12 materials to stakeholders via websites and email communications. โข Track, validate, and update contacts in the ACPC database; minimize duplicates and ensure accurate email information. C. Event Coordination and Support โข Support ACPC and ARFSD-12 event logistics, including participant registration, communication, venue setup, and virtual/hybrid meeting facilitation. โข Assist with the preparation of pre-event and post-event materials, including agendas, reports, and documentation. โข Coordinate with speakers, panellists, moderators, media, and other stakeholders. โข Support real-time communication efforts during events, including social media updates and media coordination. D. Other Duties โข Provide general administrative, coordination, and operational support for ACPC projects and ARFSD-12. โข Perform other related tasks as required. Qualifications/special skillsโข Advanced university degree (Masterโs) in Information Science, Computer Science, Communications, or related fields. โข First-level degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered. A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience work experience in information systems is required.
