About the Youth Leadership Programme.
WFP Zimbabwe seeks to identify young people to participate in the Youth Leadership Programme (YLP), a transformative initiative aimed at enhancing youth engagement in food systems, agriculture, leadership, and innovation. The programme offers an 11-month immersive experience within WFP Zimbabwe, with two overarching objectives: to strengthen WFPโs contribution to youth empowerment and leadership in agriculture and food systems, and to ensure that WFPโs work is meaningfully aligned with the aspirations and priorities of Zimbabwean youth. YLP focuses on equipping young people with the technical, professional, and soft skills required to excel in the world of work, pursue entrepreneurial ventures, or contribute meaningfully within their communities. By investing in the capacity and potential of young people, the initiative supports the realization of Vision 2030 and contributes to building a skilled, innovative, and empowered generation.

The applicant must be:
Zimbabwean National aged between 18 - 30 years.
A graduate of a tertiary institution
Able to commit to the Programme duration fully (11 months), on-site at the WFP Zimbabwe Country Office, Harare.
Proactive and possess strong interpersonal skills Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Passionate about Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship which includes agribusiness, innovation, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Demonstrate a desire to make a difference in their community.
Demonstrate interest and dedication to development issues and passionate about contributing towards Zimbabweโs aspirations on Vision 2030, Guided by the National Development Strategy 2.
Demonstrate affiliation with youth organization/network, volunteer or work experience with an NGO, in areas of WFPโs mandate.
