Purpose of the role
The WASH Officer is responsible for implementing the delegated WASH project portfolio within Bekaa area to ensure proper delivery, high quality results and compliance to applicable laws, standards, practices, policies and procedures in coordination with the WASH CSP Team Leader.

What you will do
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
Assist in preparing, implementing, monitoring and reporting the WASH activities, and ensuring compliance with plans and NRC standardsย
Suggest new methods and approaches to improve the quality of the activities as relevant based on needs and field observationย
Take part in socialization and communication with stakeholders and beneficiaries as part of information provision and consultation on NRC WASH projects implementationย
Provide feedback and Suggestions to improve activity implementation when relevant.ย
Carry out related mainstreaming of protection in programme daily implementation as per the set NRCโs Protection mainstreaming guidelines and ensure reporting any breaches/concerns to the line manager and/or focal point for proper actionย
Ensure that all protection related detected cases are referred to the concerned referral focal point and to the related Protection Coordinator
Specifically, you will;
Support the development of tailored solutions for the different intervention areas, taking into account the national WASH strategy standards, SPHERE standards, and people with specific needs by providing field data and observationSupport procurement and implementation follow up in coordination with the Team Leader.Conduct regular site visits and report on the progress and quality of works to the Team Leader.Follow up on contractor activities on site and report issues or deviations for further action.Contribute to tender documentation by compiling field measurements, data, and inputs.maintain regular communication and reporting; verbally and in writing on all project activities and progress to the WASH CSP Team Leader, and to the WASH Project Manager when requestedAssist in monitoring WASH activities across assigned project sites and report on the progress.ย ย Support the delivery of WASH operation and maintenance training as assigned.ย
Professional competencies
Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in Civil & Architect โ Masters Degree are a plus.Experience of working minimum 2 years with WASH projects within a humanitarian/recovery context
Previous experience of working in development projects related to rehabilitation, WASH infrastructure projects, and community projects
