The main purpose of this position is to work closely with communityโs/school pupils to promote good Hygiene practices and construction of WASH facilities at community and school level and to reduce the risk of communicable diseases related to water and sanitation by promoting good hygiene practice in communities and conducting hygiene awareness sessions and capacity building of communities on good hygiene practices.

Generic professional competencies:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering , Water supply Engineering and other related field. 2 yearsโ experience from working in a humanitarian/recovery context with INGOs or NGOs with implementing international projects. WASH related experience, especially Water supply related experience. Strong understanding of humanitarian response architecture, particularly in terms of emergency response and humanitarian WASH Ability to write detailed report work in English Knowledge of human rights and protection with a focus on vulnerable individuals Knowledge and experience within a relevant administration, WASH or technical field and Ideally a relevant community mobilization qualification Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities Knowledge of cash-based interventions and market-based programmes. Good understanding of risks, stakeholders and dynamics relevant to humanitarian Wash of vulnerable displaced persons in Afghanistan Demonstrated experience in conducting rapid emergency assessments in projects. Experience in working in insecure/conflict environments. Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and able to work to deadlines. Good cultural, social, political and security knowledge of the area. Proven communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with strong experience.
