The Executive Secretariat of the IDB Retirement Plans (VPF/SRP) has three teams โ Front Office, Administration and Investments; the COF Guatemala consultant will support the Administration team (SRA). SRA is in charge of administering the benefits and actuarial life cycle of six retirement plans for international and local employees. With over 5,000 participants, the Secretariat has established a strong SRA team of professionals to administer pension benefits, payments, and associated pension administration systems in an efficient manner.
What youโll do:
- Assist Pension Officers to carry out the required tasks for the determination of pension benefits for the Staff and Local Retirement Plans, restoration of service, and transfer of pension rights under the IDB Retirement Plansโ agreements.
- Assist Plans' participants to address questions related to pension and postretirement plansโ benefits, retirement options, as well as to provide required documents for these benefits.
- Assist in the preparation of documents and presentations for IDB Group's senior management and Plan's Governance Committees.
- Assist in monitoring current pension trends and to provide support for in-depth research studies on pension-related matters.
- Support the improvement of the business processes, tools and methodologies related to pension administration.
What you'll need
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in areas related to Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Statistics or Accounting.
- Experience: Two years of relevant professional experience.
- Languages: Proficiency in oral and written English and Spanish. Knowledge of another Bank official language is desirable.
- Core and Technical Competencies:
o MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
o Data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI), highly desired.
o Statistical Software (e.g., STATA, EViews, SPSS, R Studio), Programing language (Python, MATLAB, SAS, R Language, SQL) and SAP, desired.
o MS Access experience desired. Team player, inclusive, innovative, problem-solver, client-oriented, results-driven, with strong communication skills.

Requirements:
- Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Guatemala or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Guatemala.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
