5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Background:

UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.

The Office of Security and Safety Services, within the Department of Management and Administration, is developing a new Security and Safety Compliance System (SSCS) to replace the current platform, in line with UN Womenโ€™s obligations under the United Nations Security Management System (UNSMS) policy requirements and Security Risk Management Measures at Country level. The SSCS is a key digital tool for monitoring compliance and strengthening the security and safety of UN Women personnel, premises, and assets worldwide. New SSCS is currently 90% developed and is designed to enhance compliance processes through simplification and automation.

Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the intern will support the SSCS projectโ€™s completion during its final development stage, preforming user acceptance testing (UAT), assisting with preparations for the systemโ€™s global rollout, and helping develop communication and training materials for end users.
