UN Women seeks to engage a consultant to aid in resource mobilization from high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), including family foundations and philanthropies for gender equality and womenโs empowerment. Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Countryย Representative, India Country Office (ICO), the Consultant will support in devising and executing a strategy for mobilizing resources from HNWIs and contribute to other resource mobilization efforts for the country office, as required.ย
Under the guidance of Deputy Country Representative, the Consultant will undertake the following tasks -ย
A. 5-Year Strategic Planning (HNIs, Philanthropies, CSR)
Develop a sustainable 5-year fundraising strategy targeting HNWIs, family offices, and private foundations. The strategy must articulate a clear value proposition for each segment, identifying intersections between UN Womenโs mandate and strategic interests/goals of philanthropy categories listed above.ย Identify opportunities for multi-year commitments and giving circles that pool resources from mixed private sector actors.B. Market Research & Roster Development
Conduct market research to identify potential donors across the expanded scope (HNIs, corporate foundations, and philanthropic entities) who align with UN Womenโs values. Create a segmented Prospect Roster containing detailed profiles on giving patterns, interests (e.g., economic empowerment, climate), and key decision-makers for at least 20โ30 high-potential targets.C. Relationship Cultivation Plan
Design a Relation Cultivation Plan that moves prospects from identification to partnership. This includes tailored engagement strategies such as one-on-one meetings, site visits, and personalised impact reporting.D. Strategic Convening (Pre-CSW71)
Plan and execute (or design the concept and roadmap for) a small, closed-door convening. This event will serve as a pre-CSW71 strategic dialogue to engage potential major donors and corporate partners early in the roadmap toward the 71st Commission on the Status of Women.E. Capacity Building & Internal Coordination
Undertake a workshop with UN Women staff on best practices for engaging with the private sector and HNWIs.Deliverables:

Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in fundraising, particularly focused on HNWIs or major donor engagement in the nonprofit sector. Experience in relationship management, including tailored pitches and high-touch engagementLanguage:
