Context
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Treasury Officer, theย Treasury Officer will be in charge of the International Treasury and will work mainly with the Country Offices. They will support Country Offices in their bank relationships and related treasury issues. The International Treasury Officer will work in close collaboration with the Manilla Treasury team, Project Team and the Senior Treasury Officer.
Lead Bank rationalisation project
Opening of new bank accounts in the context of the projectย Proposal of rationalisation per geographical area and action plan.Collaborate closely with Treasury Technical team to ensure the coherence between the bank rationalization plan and the Trax payments project to automate payments.ยCountry Offices bank relationship monitoringย
Business owner of FinCoorp requests for: Credit cardsOpen/close bank accounts and the control of signatories list at the opening of the account- in coordination with the Treasury assistant in charge of e-banking platformChange of Signatory requestsOversight of Country Office liquidity balance levels and consider requests for exceptions together with the Senior Treasury Assistant.Develop knowledge of missions using Trax payments for harmonization of business needs .Propose new FinCoorP services to improve missions request management in coordination with the TSY Project team.Collection of mission operational requirements linked to Treasury/Banking services.High-risk Country Officesย
Responsible for the monthly missionโs banking risk classification update: based on the information collected with the Middle Office and Treasury assistant.Put in place appropriate controls to monitor high banking risk missions.L3 missions monitoring from Treasury perspective in coordination with Emergency department.Country Offices communication and trainingย
Lead treasury related training when required.Communicate on important policy for Missions in coordination with Regional offices.Create documents to help missions understand rules and policies.Create a visual identity for communication coming from Treasury.Reporting and Compliance
Prepare monthly reporting to share with Treasury team to update on missionsโ local issues to create a strong knowledge within the team.Create reporting and KPIs.Responsible for missionsโ sections in the treasury risk committee.Coordinate with external auditors as required.Collaborate with Middle office for policy and risk analysis.Country Offices funding
Lead relationships with FX counterparties to ensure strong competition and availability of exotic currency in coordination with the exotic FX trader.Back up for Missions funding requests process during Geneva hours.Collaborate with Country Offices and the Cash Based Intervention Team to research and to propose alternatives to cash.ยOther:

Masterโs degree in Finance or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five years of relevant professional experience; or,University degree in the above fields with seven years of relevant professional experience.Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) qualification (Fundamentals) or equivalent recognized treasury certification is desirable.Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database.

For this position, fluency inย English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
