IOM Ireland has been operating in Ireland since 2001, currently in following areas of migration management: Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Resettlement, Family Reunification, Counter-Trafficking, Protection, Integration Support to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, Integrated Immigration Governance and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS). ย
IOM provides mental health and psychosocial support to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility with the aim to improve their psychosocial well-being and to strengthen their overall resilience.ย
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Ireland, the Head of the MHPSS Unit and in direct supervision of the Senior Training Associate, the incumbent will assist with the delivery of MHPSS Training and Capacity Building sessions to agencies and organisations associated with the MHPSS programme.
ย
- Assist the Senior Training Associate in the preparation and organisation of training activities for agencies and organisations supporting international protection seekers, including assisting with training materials and logistics.ย
- Provide logistical and administrative support for training and capacity-building sessions, including preparation of materials, participant lists and venue of arrangements.
- Collect feedback from training participants and support the documentation of observations for internal review.
- Support updates to training materials by incorporating agreed changes and adapting content as instructed to reflect current contexts and needs.ย
- Assist with data collection and record-keeping related to agencies and training participants and support the drafting of session summaries and inputs for reports.ย
- Maintain basic awareness of relevant policies, standards, and good practices related to the rights of international protection applicants in Ireland.ย
- Provide administrative and logistical support to internal training activities and staff learning initiatives coordinated by other IOM Dublin Units.ย
- Perform such other duties, as may be assigned. Education
- Bachelorโs degree in Development, Psychology, Political or Social Sciences, Law, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with a minimum three years of relevant professional experience; or,
- High school diploma with five years of relevant professional experience.
ย Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience- Experience assisting with the organization or delivery of training or educational activities.
- Experience liaising with State agencies and non-governmental Organisations in Ireland preferred.
- Familiarity with international standards, best practices, issues related to displacement and integration.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment an advantage.
- Previous experience with international organizations, NGOs, EU Agencies and/or Irish law enforcements or Governmentโs Departments would be an asset.
