ย Context
IOM Ireland has been operating in Ireland since 2001, currently in following areas of migration management: Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Resettlement, Family Reunification, Counter-Trafficking, Protection, Integration Support to Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection, Integrated Immigration Governance and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).ย
IOM provides mental health and psychosocial support to international protection seekers residing in the Citywest accommodation facility with the aim to improve their psychosocial well-being and to strengthen their overall resilience.ย
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Ireland and the direct supervision of the Head of MHPSS Unit, in collaboration with the Counselling and Case Management Coordinator and the Cultural Mediation and Community Engagement Coordinator, the incumbent will support the implementation of MPHSS Training and Capacity Building Curriculum and the delivery of training activities to agencies and organisations associated with the MHPSS programme.ย
1.ย ย ย ย Support the MHPSS management team in the preparation and implementation of training plan and training materials for agencies and organisations supporting international protection seekers.ย
2.ย ย ย ย Assist in liaising with agencies and stakeholders to help identify capacity-building needs and contribute to needs assessments as required. ย ย
3.ย ย ย ย Contribute to the delivery and logistical coordination of training sessions to agencies and organisations, support the collection of participantsโ feedback, and assist in incorporating lessons learned into training materials.ย
4.ย ย ย ย Support the collection, organisation and maintenance of data related to agencies and training participants and assist in the preparation of narrative summaries and inputs for reporting purposes.ย
5.ย ย ย ย Provide administrative and operational support to the training team, contributing to the coordination of resources and scheduling of training activities.ย
6.ย ย ย ย Support internal staff development activities and training coordination with other Units and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.ย
7.ย ย ย ย Maintain familiarity of relevant policies, standards, and good practices related to the rights of international protection applicants in Ireland.ย
8.ย ย ย ย Support monitoring activities related to training and capacity-building components, contributing to protection-sensitive environments and adherence with established procedures.
9.ย ย ย ย Assist in collecting and preparing data and information for monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and external communication purposes.
10.ย ย ย ย Perform such other duties, as may be assigned.
ย
Education
- High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in Development, Psychology, Political or Social Sciences, Law, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.
ย Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience- Sound experience supporting training and capacity-building activities.
- Experience in coordinating project activities and supporting the work of teams and partners.
- Experience in liaising with State agencies and non-governmental Organisations in Ireland preferred.
- Understanding of international standards, best practices, issues related to displacement and integration.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment an advantage.
- Previous experience with international organizations, NGOs, EU Agencies and/or Irish law enforcements or Governmentโs Departments would be an asset.
