Result of ServiceThe consultant will have: - Delivered the required activities of the TrainForTrade programme increasing the capacity and knowledge of beneficiaries in Africa and Asia. - Increased TrainForTrade's visibility and outreach by promoting and disseminating information on TrainForTrade's digital and social tools, namely the webpages and social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and Linkedln). Work LocationHome-Based Expected duration15.01.26 - 13.03.26 Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Chief of the Human Resources Development Section - TrainForTrade Section, Trade Logistics Branch, Division on Technology and Logistics, the consultant will: • Conduct desk-based research on sustainable trade and development activities, digital connectivity, energy transitions, port management. • Collect and analyze information on TrainForTrade performance and impact amongst the final recipients of capacity building activities. • Create and develop a multimedia content strategy for specific campaigns and publish findings through TrainForTrade' s social media. • Support team creative brainstorming and keep abreast of new trends and creative ways to tell stories using a variety of media and narratives. • Support the administration of community groups and monitoring programs including LinkedIn, Facebook. • Contribute to TrainForTrade's overall communication policy by creating, updating and disseminating news and information through TrainForTrade's web-platforms and social media (Linkedln, Facebook and Twitter). • Produce and publish related information on TrainForTrade's social media platforms. • Support the preparation of TrainForTrade events on Port Management, E-commerce and Trade Statistics by promoting the events on TrainForTrade's online platforms. • Provide guidelines and expertise regarding the organization of webinars. Collaborate with the Communication Consultant to co-develop news related to TrainForTrade online events for the UNCTAD and TrainForTrade websites, as well as broader social media coverage. • Ensure that inclusive language (e.g., gender) is applied to all written and oral communication in accordance with United Nations gender-inclusive language guidelines (https://www.un.org/en/gender-inclusive-language/guidelines.shtml) for the English-speaking Network of the Port Management Program (PMP). • Liaise with beneficiaries, partners and other stakeholders involved in the TrainForTrade English-speaking Network of the Port Management Program to promote PMP activities through social media. • Contribute to the preparation, follow-ups, and delivery of Port Management events and courses in the English-Speaking network (Ghana, Indonesia, Ireland, Kenya, Malaysia, the Maldives, Namibia, Nigeria, the Philippines, Singapore, Tanzania and Vietnam) such as preparations of training material, coaching of event, reporting, review of existing training materials and keeping them up to date as necessary. • Lead and/or support the delivery of Coaching Workshops in the English-speaking network. • Lead and/or support the delivery of the Final Dissertation Defense in the English-speaking network. • Lead and/or support the delivery of the Port Management Programme, such as the Port Endeavor Game, Energy Transitions as required. Qualifications/special skillsAt least 8 years of working experience working in project management within international organization, training institutions, and experience working with/in developing countries, is required. Work experience liaising and interacting with stakeholders from public and private sectors, especially with online interaction, involving high level stakeholders, in an international environment and in communications capacity including social media and web content, is required. Work experience with digital and related web and tools applications, and with training activities, is required. Work experience with UNCTAD's TRAINFORTRADE Port Management Programme and its capacity building methodology, is desirable. LanguagesFluency in written and spoken English is required.
