Plan has been working in Cox Bazar to respond to the Rohingya refugee influx since 24 September 2017 implementing the following key objectives: 1. Ensure girls and boys affected by the crisis are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through appropriate prevention and response interventions in line with minimum standards. 2. Reduce the transmission of disease from fees to mouth through the promotion of good hygiene practice and the reduction of health risks related to poor sanitation 3. Restore and increase access to safe quality and inclusive educational opportunities for refugee children and adolescents (girls and boys) affected by the Rohingya crisis.

The role:

Technical Officer-Partner Support (ECD) will be responsible for providing technical support to roll out the Integrated ECD program and conduct capacity building initiatives for UNICEF’s local implementing partner’s staff, ECD facilitators and Resource Instructor. S/he will ensure technical support to deliver and achievement of programme outputs in particular TPD (Teacher Professional Development) package, formative assessment approach, teachers’ assessment and coaching & mentoring approach to delivery of high quality I-ECD (Integrated ECD) activities for 3-5 years old children including psychosocial support and referral, delivery of learning and teaching material from Plan international Bangladesh part. S/he will communicate frequently with Technical Specialist-ECCD for technical issues, EiE Coordinator-ECD for program planning, implementation, reporting and donor compliance. S/he will take proactive stance in identifying and mitigating child protection related risk in the implementation of the project interventions and will represent Plan at sub district level.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum Bachelor level educational qualification in Education, social studies or any relevant subject. Two years of experience in education sector. Experience in humanitarian settings is an asset. INGO work experience is preferred. Working experience with partner is prepared. Comprehensive understanding of the Humanitarian architecture of the Rohingya Response its operating and regulatory environment. Understanding general finance, administration and information management. Knowledge and understanding of Plan’s vision, mission values. In-depth understanding of Child Protection. Maintaining work relationships (internal/external). Communicating, one to one & in groups, written & verbal, presentations and reports in English; knowledge of Bangla would be necessary. Budget management and assessment of financial operations in humanitarian situations. Facilitation, negotiation and networking. Persuasion and ability to influence.

Salary Package for this role is BDT. 55,020 fixed monthly Cost to the company. Along with other benefits i.e., hospitalization benefit for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, Festival Bonus, leave, group insurance and yearly medical check-up for employee.
