As Team Leader - User Applications and Services you will:
Lead a talented team of developers, fostering an innovative and collaborative environment.Oversee the implementation of interactive user applications and services and the development of high impact visualisation tools.Drive innovation in user interaction, ensuring intuitive access to ECMWFโs vast data resources.Manage projects procured externally under sub-contracts to achieve high quality delivery for ECMWF.Collaborate with internal teams, Member States, and external stakeholders to deliver top-tier services.Stay ahead of technological advancements, ensuring ECMWF maintains its world-leading position in global weather prediction.What we're looking for:

In selecting the candidate for this role weโll be looking for:
An advanced degree (or equivalent professional experience) in computer science, engineering, computational science, physics, or a related field.Proven experience developing software, leading development teams or projects and delivering large-scale, user-facing web applications.Strong knowledge of UI/UX design, data visualization, and accessibility standards.Experience with Agile development and project management.Experience in and motivation to manage people, projects, services or operations.Familiarity with scientific or meteorological data is a plus but not required.Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of French or German is an advantage.Who we are:

General info: The successful candidate will be recruited according to the scales of the Co-ordinated Organisations. As a multi-site organisation, ECMWF has adopted a hybrid working model that allows flexibility to staff to mix office working and teleworking. We allow for remote work 10 days/month away from the office, including up to 80 days/year away from the duty station country (within the area of our member states and co-operating states).
