The IFC Country Management Unit (CMU) in Egypt is part of the North Africa and Horn of Africa Regional Department at IFC. Our team plays a central role in coordinating program and team support for all functions, ensuring smooth operations across administrative, liaison, and mission-related activities. IFC is seeking Team Assistant, based in Cairo, Egypt, to provide proactive administrative and operational support to advance IFCโs mission in North Africa. This pivotal role ensures seamless coordination, enhances team efficiency, and contributes to impactful private sector development, fostering inclusive economic growth and sustainable solutions.
Role and Responsibilitiesโข Provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring timely preparation of documents and materials.โข Organize and coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation, while ensuring compliance with IFC policies and procedures.โข Assist in planning and executing events, workshops, and conferences, including liaising with vendors, managing logistics, and ensuring smooth operations.โข Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and databases, ensuring accessibility and compliance with IFC document management standards.โข Monitor and process expense reports, invoices, and procurement requests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.โข Support the preparation of high-quality reports, presentations, and correspondence, ensuring clarity and alignment with IFC standards.โข Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of projects and initiatives, contributing to the achievement of departmental goals.โข Uphold IFC values by fostering an inclusive, respectful, and professional work environment, while demonstrating cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
Selection Criteria
โPreference will be given to local talent, that is, applicants that are authorized to work in the duty station for any employer. Internal applicants may apply per existing guidelines.โย โข University degree and at least 4 years of relevant work experience in a large international institution or private sector organization, working experience in an international organization is a plusโข Proven experience in supporting dynamic teams within international organizations, financial institutions, or development agencies, demonstrating adaptability in multicultural environments.โข Strong command of English and Arabic, with excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.โข Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software tools for document preparation, data management, and scheduling.โข Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.โข Experience in coordinating travel arrangements, events, and meetings, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to organizational policies.โข Ability to work collaboratively within a team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment while maintaining professionalism and discretion.โข Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.โข Demonstrated commitment to IFCโs values, including integrity, respect, and a focus on delivering results that support development objectives.โข Flexibility and resilience to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
