Result of ServiceThe consultant will contribute to the successful opening and running of the newly equipped national data centre of Iraq Customs. Work LocationHome based Expected duration01.06.25 to 31.08.25 Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe project includes the installation and set-up of state of the art national IT date centre to support the implementation of ASYCUDA. The data centre will house brand new hardware and networking equipment to ensure smooth running of the system for all users nationwide. Under the general supervision of the project officer, UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator, and in collaboration with the project officer in Baghdad, the consultant will undertake the following duties: - Lead and supervise the deployment of the new customs data center equipment to be installed in national data center in Baghdad - Assist in the installation of the new network equipment to migrate the direct connection between IGCC/ASYCUDA servers' room and National Data Centre(NDC)/ASYCUDA VMs through the government secure network. - Transfer and boost the knowledge to customs national team to successfully maintain the national customs network and datacenter Qualifications/special skillsA first university degree, Bachelor, in engineering or an equivalent is required. 7 years of work experience with assignments in developing countries and/or transition economies within an international organization is required. LanguagesFluency written and oral Arabic is required. Knowledge of English is desirable Additional InformationNot available.
