Under the overall supervision oof the Programme Manager CRP and direct supervision of the National Project Officer and in coordination with the Programme Officer, the incumbent will support the implementation and monitoring of the peacebuilding portfolio and support the coordination of work of a team of field staff, which will require significant travel.
- Liaise and coordinate with community agents in assigned communities.
- Provide assistance in implementing and monitoring the day-to-day implementation of the project in assigned communities.
- Support the preparation of trainings to community members.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluation processes, including data entry and conducting monitoring visits.
- Produce regular update reports on field activities.
- Assist the National Project Officer in monitoring and notifying the Programme Manager of all potential/emerging risks associated with the project.
- Undertake duty travel as required.
- Organize internal and external field visits.
- Guide, train and assist in coordinating work of field staff.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education
- Bachelorโs degree from an accredited academic institution in a relevant field with at least three years of relevant experience, or;
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with 5 (five) years of relevant. Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience working in large teams in a humanitarian or development context is required.
- Experience working and communicating with communities and community leaders required.
- Experience in livelihoods or income generation work is highly desirable.
- Experience with conflict prevention, mediation or psychosocial counselling is highly desirable. Skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills are required, including the ability to meetย deadlines and workย underย pressure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to present clear and conciseย information isย required. Languages ย IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
