Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities.ย
- Participate in small-scale improvement of canals, draining channels
- Verify constructions and activities are completed to a satisfactory standard before final payment is authorized.
- Assist in monitoring the rehabilitation of small-scale water supply systems, handpump, waste management.
- Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor.ย
- Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation.ย
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Education
University degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geology or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; orย
School diplomaย with four years of relevant experience
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience- Experience in the construction of WASH facilities and infrastructures
- Experience in work supervision
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.ย Skills
- Good knowledge and skills for preparing BoQ and technical documentation
- Skills to conduct WASH assessment and technical evaluation
- Computer literacy in computer aided engineering design is desirable.
- Good computer literacy and good skills in Excel, Word
- Good knowledge and skills in data analysis Languages
REQUIRED
For this position, fluency in French and Haitian creole is required (oral and written).
