Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities including hygiene promotion, distribution of hygiene kits, community mobilization, and cash for work (CFW) activities
- Liaise with IOM WASH, Health and GBV technical staff to coordinate integration of key messages such as infection prevention and control (IPC) (i.e., cholera prevention), Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention/other protection messages as necessary
- Support the procurement, logistics and distribution of hygiene kits and menstrual hygiene management (MHM) kits coordinating with IOM Shelter/ NFI, DTM, CCCM and protection IOM units to ensure area-based interventions
- Support community mobilization for WASH facilities and services, facilitating active community participation in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance, reduces risks of GBV and strengthens women, girlโs and marginalized groupโs involvement.
- Implement cash for work (CFW) modality to adopt inclusive approach and outline the expectations of the affected population (IDPs and host community) to enhance social cohesion
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
- Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest remedial actions.
- Draft correspondence on project issues; prepare and update reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentation and other forms of documentation.ย
- Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.ย
- Perform other related duties as assigned. Education
- University degree in Public Health or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience; orย
- School diploma in the above fields with five years of relevant professional experience Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Operational and field experience in displacement health-related issues and in programme development
- Extensive experience in Hygiene Promotion, Community/Public Health and community engagement
- Experience in WASH, including conceptualization, analysis and implementation of programme
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups;
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage. Skills

- Knowledge of CLTS, CAST, PHAST or other participatory methodologies
- Familiarity with the WASH and health sectors in Haiti;

For this position, fluency in French and Haitian creole is required (oral and written).
