Mission and objectivesThe World Health Organization serves as the directing and coordinating authority for public health within the United Nations system. WHO seeks to promote health, ensure everyone can attain the highest level of health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable through partnerships, people and countries.

ContextWHO Egypt develops reports, guidance notes, and campaign materials that need to be accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences across the country. Online Volunteers will play a key role in translating, proofreading, and conducting short background research to support the clarity and accuracy of WHO’s health communication. This assignment allows volunteers to enhance their professional translation and research skills while contributing to public health awareness.

Task DescriptionVolunteer 1 — SharePoint & Information Architecture Tasks (milestones): Wk 1–3: Configure SharePoint site IA (lists/libraries/content types/permissions). Wk 4–7: Implement document workflows and taxonomy for IMST. Wk 8–10: Prepare admin guide and IA diagram. Wk 11–12: Handover and fixes. Final outcomes: Operational SharePoint IA, workflow config, admin guide + IA diagram. Volunteer 2 — Power Apps/Automate MVP Tasks (milestones): Wk 1–2: Agree core user stories and MVP scope. Wk 3–8: Build Power App + 3 automated flows (submission, approval, notification). Wk 9–10: User testing + iteration. Wk 11–12: User manual + deployment checklist. Final outcomes: Deployed MVP app, 3 flows, user manual, checklist. Volunteer 3 — AI Assistant & User Training (optional AI scope kept task-based) Tasks (milestones): Wk 1–3: Prototype Q&A assistant (documentation-bound) using approved tools. Wk 4–8: Integrate assistant into app/site; define governance note (sources/limits/privacy). Wk 9–12: Produce training pack (slides, quick guides) and run one virtual demo. Final outcomes: Working assistant prototype, governance note, training pack, demo recap.
