Our Ideal Candidate:
This internship is designed to provide an opportunity for students or recent graduates with the opportunity to gain practical experience in support functions like Logistics, Finance, Admin, and HR-related activities in a professional setting for Coxโs Bazar Area Office. The intern will work closely with the support departments to support archiving, document preparation, scanning, printing, and other relevant regular works.
The intern will need to be highly motivated and passionate about supporting the organizationโs support functions. S/he should be prepared to work collaboratively with a team and be able to meet deadlines.
Key Tasks and Assignments:
Human Resources:
- Support the HR team in screening resumes and scheduling interviews for potential candidates.
- Coordinate and communicate with candidates regarding interview schedules and follow-ups.
- Assist in preparing new onboarding documentation
- Support in ensuring ID cards to staff and contingent workerย
- Organize and file HR-related documents ย
- Support the HR team in processing timesheets and payslips and signing.
- Assist in the offboarding process by preparing exit interview questionnaires and scheduling meetings with departing employees.
- Support in the contingent worker recruitment process.
- Support in Airtime distribution.
Finance: ย
- Assist the Finance Team in processing vendor payments.
- Perform routine filing tasks in accordance with the existing financial filing system.
- Provide support to the Finance Team in processing payments for contingent workers.
- Maintain and update a register for all incoming bills, invoices, and financial claims.
Logistics:ย
- Scanning of documents and archiving in SharePoint folders.
- Input necessary data entry (procurement, warehouse, fleet).
- Regular supplier payment processing and payment follow-up.ย
Key Education and Skills Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business studies, Supply Chain Management, and other relevant degrees;
- Students who have completed the coursework and not yet graduated are also eligible to apply.ย ย
Skills and Experience:
- Good Organizational skills
- Microsoft Office Management
- Fluent in Bangla and English
- Candidates with relevant voluntary experience would add value.
Personal Qualities:
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
- Demonstrated commitment to human rights and humanitarian principles.
Responsibilities of NRC:
- NRC will provide the intern with a conducive working environment, effective supervision, and guidance to ensure optimal learning; evident in regular supervisory meetings and a final performance evaluationย
- NRC will provide the intern with a clear ToR, stipulating specific learning objectives and exact outcomesย
- NRC will provide adequate induction to programs and the officeย
- NRC will provide the intern with access to working space; necessary equipment; information and other work-related resourcesย
- Pay the prescribed stipend to interns in accordance with the guidelinesย
- Issue a letter of completion of internship to interns upon successful completion of the programme.
Responsibilities of the intern:ย
- The intern will be expected to adhere to all NRC regulations, policies, and proceduresย
- The intern will participate in the induction session ย
- The intern will demonstrate motivated participation in the learning experienceย
- The intern will carry out his/her roles and responsibilities as specified in the ToR and guided by the supervisor

- 40% travel, approximately.
