Your responsibilities

Are you interested in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, applying best practices, improving operational processes, minimizing the environmental footprint, and further developing operational excellence in the fields of goods reception, internal distribution, stores management, and storage at CERN?

The CERN Services and Supply Chain (SSC) group is offering you the opportunity to apply your LEAN, 6 Sigma, 5S, Kaizen or equivalent skills and contribute to the smooth implementation of the Organization's ambitious scientific program. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you will oversee a variety of projects, from the implementation of a continuous improvement methodology, the sourcing and deployment of new storage infrastructure and cutting machines, or optimizations of replenishments procedures in the ERP. You will join a friendly and supportive team, in a work environment that encourages autonomy and the bringing of new ideas and initiatives.

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge

Experience in supply chain and operational excellence (Green Belt certification would be a plus)Ability to work in a teamExcellent interpersonal communication skillsProfessional working proficiency in English or French, and the ability to communicate in the other language (or the willingness to acquire it)

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Supply Chain (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
