Organizational context
The UNHCR Representation in Venezuela includes the Country Office and three Field Units located in Caracas, San Cristรณbal, and Maracaiboโstrategically positioned in border states neighbouring Colombia. Due to financial constraints, especially since early 2025, UNHCR has developed a strategy to engage the private sector and mobilize resources, titled โBringing the Private Sector and Communities Closer.โ Through this strategy, UNHCR Venezuela has secured financial contributions and material donations from private sector actors and facilitated access to services for the people it serves.
