Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.
Context UNV Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and UNDP are jointly organizing a webinar on 22 April 2025, on UN Volunteer opportunities and specifics targeting several NGOs and their members across the region. The event will be 1-hour long and the main presentation will be around 25-30 minutes long including topics like mission and history of UNV, brief statistics about UN Volunteers, the process of becoming a UN Volunteer, entitlements and benefits offered to UN Volunteers. A Q&A session is also planned to follow the presentation.
Task DescriptionThe selected online volunteer will provide accurate and engaging simultaneous interpretation between English and Ukrainian languages during a 1-hour online event about UN Volunteer Opportunities. Tasks: Translate the spoken content from English to Ukrainian maintaining the original meaning and context. During the questions and answers session, translation from Ukrainian to English might also be required.
