Purpose of the role
NRC is seeking a highly experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in the design and execution of infrastructure projects, particularly in the areas of road improvements, water supply networks, and wastewater systems. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills, capable of effectively engaging with all relevant stakeholders, including local authorities, contractors, and community representatives.

What you will do
Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards Mobilize communities and community leaders for the construction materials and activities and maintenance of infrastructureย Administrate payment requests for contractors, partners, suppliers, construction workers, etc.ย Prepare and file relevant documents according to procedures Carry out related mainstreaming of protection in programme daily implementation as per the set of NRCโs Protection mainstreaming guidelines and ensure reporting any breaches/concerns to the line manager for proper action. Ensures that all protection related detected cases are referred to the referral focal point and to the related Protection Coordinatorย
Specifically you will;
Professional competencies
ย Bachelorโs degree in civil engineering or a related field (Masterโs degree is an asset). At least 4 years of proven experience in infrastructure engineering, particularly in road, water, and wastewater sectors. Good knowledge of engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterCAD). Good experience in multi-stakeholder coordination in complex or urban environments. Very good technical writing skills, with a proven ability to draft concept notes and technical documents. Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken). Relevant work experience with NGOs, charities, humanitarian work or similar organisationsBehavioral competencies
