Working under the overall supervision of theย Head of the Protection Department (PXD) and under the direct supervision of the Protection (PX) Program Manager (DA and AVRR), the Seniorย Reporting and Information Management Program Associate will be responsible for providing specialized assistance ย with protection information management and reporting for the Protection Department.

Theย Seniorย Reporting and Information Management Program Associate will support, monitor and coordinate the implementation of the information management system and will contribute to the reporting for the programme, consolidating and developing of information management system, as well as building and disseminating evidence of programme achievements within and outside of IOM.

Theย Seniorย Reporting and Information Management Program Associate is expected to carry out duties in accordance with strictest ethical standards.

  1. Work to improve existing and ย participate in the development of new information management toolsย and products to track programme objectives, outputs and indicators as per the project documents and logframes. ย Verify accuracy and consistency of the updated data with the project commitments.
  2. In close coordination with theย Protection (PX) Program Manager (DA and AVRR), and in collaboration with protection unitsโ€™ focal points, coordinate the drafting of interim and final project narrative donor reports based on programme objectives, work plans, results matrices, and timelines in accordance with the project document and project agreement with the donor. Carry out quality assurance of interim and final narrative reports in line with donor requirements and the IOM project handbook.
  3. ย Support efficient planning for data processes, including project data collection, analysis and sharing, with a particular focus on data protection, including for IOM donor project results matrices, and other IOM or UN reporting commitments as they pertain to PXD. When necessary, recommend adaptations of methodologies that account for changes in the environment.
  4. In close collaboration with the relevant focal points, produce and update regular statistical and analytical reports, situation reports, protection reports, bulletins, as well as project factsheets, amongst others
  5. Facilitate the understanding of surveys/questionnaires among PXD staff and ensure quality of the project and protection data collection.
  6. Supervise and support the IM team to ย implement the methodologies for PXD project and protection data collection, processing, and analysis for both qualitative and quantitative data.
  7. ย Implement at all stage the proper backup/restore, data protection and security procedures to assure data integrity and availability. Conduct data validation and cross checking to ensure proper and reliable data across sources.
  8. Improve data collection-process-storing-quality and analysis systems within the PXD Egypt mission in line with the IOM data protection policy.
  9. Provide technical support for the collection, analysis and management of the protection unit projectsโ€™ M&E data and facilitate its access by relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Undertake duty travel relating to project assessments, liaison with counterparts, project implementation, Monitoring & Evaluation as required.
  11. Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education
    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in International Relations, Political Sciences, Management and Public Administration, Economics or any related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience, or
    • High school diploma with at least six years of relevant professional experience. Accredited Universities are those listed in theย UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย  Experience
      • Experience implementing programmes related to humanitarian protection and direct assistance, Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration, Counter Trafficking, with specific experience conducting protection monitoring and reporting;
      • Experience working with the Migrant Management Operational System Application (MiMOSA);
      • Experience designing information management softwares in humanitarian context;
      • Experience reporting and project implementation, including the logical framework, to donors;
      • Experience working in the region and fluency in Arabic is a strong advantage. Skills
        • Hands-on skills in IM and project reporting;
        • Knowledge in software analytics;
        • Excellent reporting and writing skills;
        • Proficiency in information management and quantitative skills;
        • Knowledge of and commitment to gender equality, environmental and human rights;
        • Sound and proven understanding of protection and migration management. Languages
