POSITION TITLE: Senior Prosecution Manager LOCATION: Dhaka, Bangladesh with extensive travel STATUS: Full-time; contingent upon continuation of donor funding REPORTS TO: Chief of Party (COP) This is a counter human trafficking project to: Enhance the systems, capacity, and sustainability of justice sector actors and institutions; Prevent human rights violations and increasing awareness of TIP and child marriage; and Strengthen protection of TIP and child marriage victims. This is a local/national position and is not eligible for international allowances or relocation allowances. POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Prosecution Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and reporting of prosecution activities. He/she leads and manages prosecution technical activities in targeted project districts; identifies and coordinates with collaboration partners and leverages opportunities; monitors grantee implementation, budgets, and achievements against targets; develops program communications, spot reports, and success stories; contributes to program strategies and budget forecasting; develops consultant Terms of Reference (ToRs) and requests for applications (RFAs) for prosecution grantees and leads their selection and award process; provides expertise on laws, policies, and processes, and supervises prosecution colleagues. Specific responsibilities include: Leads development, planning, implementation, and reporting of activities and oversees implementing NGO partners under the prosecution component. Oversees coordination of prosecution related activities in the program districts. Builds and maintains relationships with government counterparts (at national and local levels); with NGO implementing partners and with beneficiaries; identifies collaborating organizations and leverages opportunities. Supervision of prosecution colleagues. Develops ToRs for consultants. Monitors subgrantee prosecution activities, budgets, and implementation of targets. Contributes to the overall program strategy and develops program reports, success stories, field visits, and reporting on prosecution component achievements. Designs and facilitates training sessions for justice sector and law enforcement actors. Prepares regular written updates for the donor. Provides expertise to project management on international and local laws, policies, processes, and best practices. Qualifications: Masterโ€™s or higher-level degree required in law from a reputable university. Work Experience: Minimum of eight yearsโ€™ experience managing and implementing complex access to justice activities for international development projects, preferably donor-funded projects. Solid knowledge of human trafficking, child marriage, and safe migration, national and international laws, rules, and protocols required. Experience developing reports and conducting analysis required. Experience in organizing and leading training courses for senior officials required. Experience with the Bangladesh Anti-Human Trafficking Special Tribunals required. Experience with donor compliance requirements required. Experience developing, managing, and monitoring subgrants. Skills: Fluent in Bangla and English. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to be diplomatic, utilize discretion and tact managing sensitive situations required. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under time constrictive deadlines, and in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage multiple competing priorities and activities. Proficient in computer skills and with Microsoft Office. Ability to travel frequently to project areas.
