Under the overall supervision of the Senior Programme Coordinator (IBG) and direct supervision of the National Programme Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the support in the implementation of the Immigration and Border Governance Unit portfolio of the Country Office. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and assisting the achievement of the objective and results of relevant projects within the program portfolio as well as the successful day to day implementation of the activities under projects.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
- Compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics, highlighting noteworthy issues for the consideration of appropriateย parties.
- Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments asย necessary.
- Liaiseย forย administrativeย coordinationย ofย projectย implementation with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, follow up on administrative actions,ย etc.
- Draft status reports; identify shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the supervisor and suggest correctiveย measures.
- Draftย correspondenceย onย projectย issues;ย prepareย andย updateย reports,ย briefingย notes, graphics, statistical tables, and other forms ofย documentation.
- Organizeย meetings,ย workshopsย andย trainingย sessions;ย prepareย trainingย materialsย and participate in the delivering of capacity buildingย workshops.
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records.
- Participateย inย meetingsย andย conferences;ย maintainย effectiveย liaisonย andย coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nation agencies, intergovernmental andย non- governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to theย project.
- Provide inputs for the development of concept papers and provide general support for the development of newย projects.
- Provides guidance/training and assist in coordinating and monitoring work of other staff in the unit; may supervise other staff asย assigned.
- Perform other related duties asย assigned.  Education:ย - Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience.  Experience: - Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Proven experience in project implementation particularly in matters related migration and border management;
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non- government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is
- an advantage.   Skills   - Familiarity with financial and business administration
- Having analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to identify and participate in the resolution of issues/problems
- Solid written communication (drafting of project proposals, reports, letters etc.) skills.ย     Languages   - Fluency in English and Turkish is required (oral and written).
