Supervisor: The incumbent of this post reports to the Assistant Budget Officer, A14. 2. Supervisees: Directly supervises Finance Assistant(s) (Budget), A10 (as applicable). ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent: 1. Reviews and checks budgeting documents for consistency and accuracy of calculations; performs transactions requested on the system to reflect approved adjustments of funds' allocations. 2. Maintains all records related to the Programme Budget and External Grants within the budget section; categorizes based on project and source of funding; drafts required documents and correspondence related to his/her functions. 3. Assists the supervisor in preparing monthly/quarterly review of Programme Budget and External Grants expenditures; coordinates with expending officers and project officers in follow up of over or under expenditures and adjusting reserves as requested. 4. Assists the supervisor in reviewing and analysing Hard and Soft Commitment balances per Fund/Grant in the Field; drafts necessary spreadsheets and estimates calculations. 5. Drafts and prints statistical budget reports on weekly/ monthly and quarterly basis; finalizes additional calculations and comparisons required. 6. Trains new staff in Field Programs and Departments on the budgeting process and related procedures and instructions. 7. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).
