1. Organizational Context
a. Organizational Setting
The post of Senior ERP Delivery Manager is located in the Enterprise Solutions Division (ESD), Information and Communication Technology.
The Enterprise Solutions Division (ESD) hosts the portfolio of ERP applications (known as “AIMS”) which provides the backbone for Procurement, Travel & Meetings, Human Resources, Finance, Program Performance and Budget, Risk Management, Conference Management, and Customer Relationship Management as the main digital platform supporting these processes with over 1,300 internal users and a vast community of external customers. Additional applications beyond those listed may also be included in the portfolio in the course of time.
The Division is responsible for the delivery of the AIMS transformation 2.0 project, a business-driven initiative which focuses on the transformation of the core ERP capabilities (Finance, Procurement, Human Resources Management and Payroll, Travel & Meetings) including integration capabilities with business systems (PCT, Madrid, Hague, AMC, etc.) and satellite capabilities such as the SaaS result-based planning system WePerform.
b. Purpose Statement
This is a project post under the approved Capital Master Plan AIMS 2.0 Transformation project. WIPO/AIMS is embarking on a large modernization, involving the migration of existing applications to Cloud platforms, as well as renewing its applications landscape.
The main role of the incumbent is to oversee the successful delivery of AIMS Transformation initiative, coordinating the various projects under the Transformation program, receiving its strategic direction from the transformation governing body.
The delivery manager will drive and influence the delivery team, composed of staff, vendors and consultants, towards reaching project objectives. S/he will ensure that plans are created and executed accordingly, risk identified and managed, issues and problems addressed through periodical analysis and reporting to key stakeholders.
c. Reporting Lines
The incumbent works under the supervision of the Director of the Enterprise Solutions Division.
d. Work Relations
The Senior ERP Delivery Manager collaborates extensively with business areas and various project teams, ensuring efficient processes that meet business expectations. This involves working closely with WIPO staff, external partners, consultants, and vendors. The incumbent aligns ERP transformation goals with organizational priorities by maintaining regular communication with governance bodies, multidisciplinary teams and other key stakeholders.
2. Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will perform the following principal duties:
a. Under the supervision of the Director, ESD, be accountable for delivery in all aspects - financial, staffing, implementation and business as well as regulatory requirements where present.
b. Lead the execution of the overall transformation strategy, coordinating the products delivery of projects under the program mandate, in collaboration with the solution implementer, vendors and project teams.
c. Oversee the configuration and integration of ERP modules as per the business process and requirements.
d. Manage business relationships, expectations, represent delivery on the relevant governance level.
e. Coordinate the adoption of cloud solution strategy in coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
f. Champion the use of best practices, process simplification and coordinate with process owners to translate them into the new solution.
g. Ensure transformation follows Governance, Risk and Compliance standards.
h. Establish and maintain the overall delivery plan and related resources allocation.
i. Ensure that the connected project work plans, schedules, resource plans and status reports are prepared, executed, and monitored appropriately by all the solution team members.
j. Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams of product owners, architects, engineers and quality assurance experts to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives. Identify and manage project risks and flag serious issues early.
k. Where applicable, facilitate the resolution of solution design and integration issues.
Work actively with project stream leads to resolve issues causing delays in task completion. Escalate and resolve whenever possible critical path issues that impact the achievement of key milestones.
l. Work actively with the service and operations team to ensure mutual interdependencies are fulfilled and ensure the preparedness for the cutover to production.
m. Perform other related duties as required.
3. Requirements
Education (Essential)
Advanced university degree in information technology, computer science, business management or a related discipline. A first-level university degree in one of the afore-mentioned fields plus two years of relevant professional experience in addition to the experience requested below may be acceptable in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Education (Desirable)
Project management certification, preferably Prince2.
Program Management certification, preferably MSP.
Experience (Essential)
At least ten years of relevant professional experience in driving digital transformations, in the context of ERPs.
Experience in leadership positions, such as Solution/Enterprise Architect or Delivery/Program Manager, in the context of at least one large-scale ERP project, with a strong preference for Cloud ERP implementation.
Hands-on experience delivering complex projects, managing stakeholders on all levels and successfully driving IT services engagements.
Proficient in translating architecture into detailed implementation plans for public cloud deployments.
