5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

The Foundation

We are the largest nonprofit fighting poverty, disease, and inequity around the world. Founded on a simple premise: people everywhere, regardless of identity or circumstances, should have the chance to live healthy, productive lives. We believe our employees should reflect the rich diversity of the global populations we aim to serve. We provide an exceptional benefits package to employees and their families which include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with no premiums, generous paid time off, paid family leave, foundation-paid retirement contribution, regional holidays, and opportunities to engage in several employee communities. As a workplace, weโ€™re committed to creating an environment for you to thrive both personally and professionally.

The TeamEstablished in 2009, the Foundationโ€™s Strategic Investment Fund (SIF) was created to advance the organizationโ€™s philanthropic mission through the use of equity, debt, and guarantee investment tools. Since then, SIF has become a recognized leader in the impact investing space, completing more than 80 investments across a wide range of sectors and asset classes. SIF investments support the charitable objectives of the Foundationโ€™s Program Strategy Teams (PSTs), which include technical experts from around the world. By partnering with entrepreneurs, companies, and other organizations, SIF structures investments that align private sector incentives with the Foundationโ€™s programmatic goalsโ€”driving meaningful change for those who need it most. In return, investees commit to using the invested capital in ways that directly advance the Foundationโ€™s strategies.

Your Role

As a Senior Coordinator for the SIF team, you will play a critical role in enhancing the alignment and execution of the teamโ€™s strategies and operations. You will collaborate closely with various SIF team membersโ€”including investment officers, program coordinators, deputy directors, and directorsโ€”to strengthen coordination and integration across related initiatives. Your work will help foster collaboration across multiple Foundation program strategy teams. In this role, you will also engage with a wide range of internal and external partners, including other Foundation team members, strategic partners, and external collaborators, to support shared goals and ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
