The Monetary and Capital Marketโ€™s Department (MCM) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking an experienced expert to work as Resident Advisor in Public Debt Management for the Regional Technical Assistance Center AFRITAC West 2 (AFW2). AFW2 is a multi-donor-financed institution that provide capacity development (technical assistance (TA) and training) in macroeconomic and financial sector policies to six countries in English- and Portuguese-speaking West Africa [1] AFW2 comprise a core team of resident advisors (complemented by short-term experts) under the general supervision of a Center Director.

Description

The Resident Advisor will be based at our Center AFW2 in Accra, Ghana (https://www.afritacwest2.org), and will assist participating countries across West Africa in public debt management and development of domestic debt markets.

This is a one-year contractual position, which is renewable for up to three years subject to budget availability and satisfactory performance.

Duties and responsibilities

The Resident Advisor will respond to TA and capacity development (CD) requests received by AFW2 member countries and is expected to travel to these countries to perform the assigned duties. S/he will be required to assist AFW2 members through capacity building in the following areas:
