UN Women Jordan works in close collaboration with the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the UN System, Civil Society, and members of the international community to advance the womenโ€™s national agenda, promoting womenโ€™s empowerment, womenโ€™s rights, and gender equality.

ContextThis assignment will support UN Women Jordan in monitoring and synthesizing global and local media content related to Jordanโ€™s and UN Womenโ€™s engagement at the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), with a focus on coverage from CSW68 (2024) and preparations or activities around CSW69 (2025). Skills Gained by the Volunteer: โ€ข International media research and analysis โ€ข Familiarity with UN global advocacy platforms like CSW โ€ข Synthesis of trends in gender and policy news coverage

Task DescriptionUN Women is looking for 10 online volunteers to support with monitoring news coverage related to UN Women's work. Under the supervision of the Head of Communications of UN Women Jordan, The volunteers will support with these tasks: โ€ข Conduct online research on mentions of Jordan or UN Women Jordan in CSW coverage (including global NGO newsletters, UN press centers, advocacy sites). โ€ข Collect, organize, and summarize findings in a brief report. โ€ข Highlight trends, recurring issues/themes, and emerging voices. Deliverables: Each volunteer is expected to submit a weekly media mentions (with source links).
