ย The Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities. Interns must be between 20 and 36 years old and should have less than two years of relevant working experience.ย
ย In general, the Internship Programme aims at attracting talented students and graduates who:
ย a) have a specific interest in, or whose studies have covered, areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities; b) are holding a scholarship for internship placements in international organizations and/or for whom internship is required to complete their studies; or c) are sponsored by governmental/non governmental institutions and/or academia to work in specific areas relevant to both IOM and the sponsor. d) are either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelorโs level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months. e) are between 20 and 36 years of age. Supervision
- Working under the overall direction of the National Programme Officer and the direct supervision of the Senior Project Associate in ฤฐstanbul, the intern will assist with the operational activities of the Mission. Learning Objectives
- Support implementation and monitoring of day-to-day activities and administrative and financial processes of the AVRR project(s) under direct coordination of the supervisor.ย
- Support in the implementation of IOM AVRR project which can include, but is not limited to, tasks ranging from assistance in organizing workshops, meeting and conferences, coordinating the service delivery with finance and procurement units, translation and interpretation to support the AVRR counsellors.
- Help coordinating the in-person AVRR application intakes and external AVRR referrals, including upkeeping of the appointment schedule for AVRR counselling and completion of the necessary forms and documentation and data entries into MฤฐMOSA, in accordance with IOM standards for assisting AVRR beneficiaries.ย
- Retrieve, compile, summarize, analyze, and present information/data on specific project topics.ย
- Provide regular feedback, on an as-needed basis, on additional needs/gaps in referral protocols and assistance measures for AVRR beneficiaries.ย
- Participate in relevant trainings/workshops to learn from and contribute to strengthening capacity of relevant partners in identification, referral, and assistance of AVRR beneficiaries.ย
- Support the evaluation of the effectiveness of assistance provided to AVRR beneficiaries in Tรผrkiye.ย
- Perform other duties as may be assigned. Education ย Applicant should be either enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelorโs level or equivalent) or have graduated in the last 12 months. ย Languages ย English and Turkish is mandatory for this Internship.ย ย IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
