1. General Background

UNHCR is the UN Refugee Agency and takes the lead in providing international protection for 112.6 million
refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced people, and other people in need of international protection
worldwide. An unprecedented 108.4 million people around the world have been forced from home. Among
them are nearly 35.3 million refugees. In a world where more than 1 in every 74 people on Earth has been
forced to flee, our work at UNHCR is more important than ever before.
The number of refugees and other persons of concern hosted in Indonesia is more than 12 thousand
beneficiaries registered by UNHCR in Indonesia and will provide a relevant theme for PSP messaging and
to seek financial support for UNHCR programs in Indonesia and international situations. PSP activities will
also contribute to raising UNHCR brand awareness in Indonesia and improve public perceptions of
refugees.
The objective of this position within UNHCR Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) in Indonesia is to ensure the
deliverability and effectiveness of the Donor Journey program and donor development program for
Indonesian individual givers of UNHCR. To support individual giving programs deliver long-term income.
We seek a positive, supportive, and passionate professional with prior experience in customer/donor
communication and familiarity with customer database management systems. This position will be
responsible for the day-to-day elaboration and implementation of a suitable donor journey together with
a visionary and passionate team willing to strengthen refugee support from donors in Indonesia.
2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Donor Retention and Development
- Assist PSP Associate (Donor Retention) to establish donor retention program strategy for UNHCR
individual donors.
- Contribute and implement donor journey strategy under the supervision of the PSP Associate
(Donor Retention).
- Assist PSP Associate (Donor Retention) Manage timeline and deliverability of donor materials and
communication (Email, WhatsApp, SMS, Newsletter, and Merchandise).
- Assist PSP Associate with donor development program (upgrade, conversion, reactivation, and
other types of donor development activities) aiming at maximizing long-term net income while

meeting the required return on income (ROI) targets.
- Support PSP Associate to monitor third parties who support the implementation of donor journey
and development.
- Support donor events to build long-term relationships with individual donors/supporters and
generate maximum donor lifetime value and retention.
- Promote UNHCR campaign goals and objectives to engage active donors and supporters.
- Other Related Responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
3. Monitoring and Progress Controls

4. Qualifications and Experience
(List the required education, work experience, expertise, and competencies of the individual contractor. The

a. Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
- High School Diploma or University degree in Marketing, digital marketing, Communications, or related field
b. Work Experience
(List the number of years and area of required work experience. Clearly distinguish between required
experience and experience which could be an asset.)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience for high school diploma, or no experience for Bachelor
degree of higher.
- Relevant working experience in customer services or donor retention in a corporate, NGO (ideally,
international NGO) or UN agency environment is an asset.
