THE OPPORTUNITY
Plan International is looking to recruit the services of a talented and qualified Program Coordinator to support the implementation of one of our projects focusing on addressing the needs of out-of-school children. This initiative aims to improve access to quality education for these children in urban centers, enhancing equity and accountability within the education sector. DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE
The Programme Coordinator will report directly to the Team Lead. The role involves overseeing various administrative and programme support tasks to ensure the efficient operation and delivery of the project. The Programme Coordinator will work closely with the project team, stakeholders, and other partners to facilitate smooth communication, coordination, and execution of project activities.They will support the Team Lead in managing various aspects of the programme, focusing on administrative and programme support tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the project by managing the finance database, supporting document updates, liaising with the ministry, tracking actions, and maintaining documents and trackers.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Education, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an administrative or programme support role, preferably within the NGO sector.
- Experience managing databases and maintaining accurate records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques is an advantage.
