5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Applications are welcome from internal and external candidates. For all IOM vacancies, applications from qualified and eligible first-tier candidates are considered before those of qualified and eligible second-tier candidates in the selection process. For the purpose of this vacancy, internal candidates are considered first-tier candidates.
ย  Context

Established in 1951, IOM is a Related Organization of the United Nations, and as the leading UN organization in the field of migration works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration, for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

As part of IOMโ€™s broader mandate to promote safe, regular, and well-governed migration, the Regular Pathways subunit in Tunisia supports the development and implementation of mobility schemes that enable migrants to move through regular and skills-based channels. This includes both labour and educational mobility pathways, designed to respond to labour market needs while fostering human capital development and safeguarding migrant rights.

Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission in Tunisia and the Migration and Development Head of Unit and the direct supervision of the Project Officer for Regular Pathways, the incumbent will support the implementation and reporting of activities under the Regular Pathways sub-unit, with a particular focus on educational pathways-related projects. The incumbent will also provide general support to the Migration and Development Unit.
