Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, the Head of Partnerships Unit,ย theย IP Support Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Associate (IP Support โ Financials) in collaboration with RMU team, the Programme Support Associate (IP โ Financials) will provide financial support for the activities of the IOM Mission in Ukraine.ย
- Monitor and track the financial activities, turnover, and budget utilization of Implementing Partners for the IOM Mission in Ukraine.ย
- Follow up monthly on open commitments under purchase orders related to Implementing Partners.
- Support the archiving of IPsโ documentation in coordination with RMU before the donor reports is submitted.
- Participate in kick-off and onboarding meetings to assist in building capacities of Implementing Partners.
- Conduct spot check visits to Implementing Partners to monitor and analyze areas for improvement related to accounting software, procurement procedures, archiving, reporting, and project workflow.
- Track debtors and creditors accounts and work closely with the relevant units and IOM staff to facilitate timely settlement of pending advances; assist in preparing AP Invoices reports.
- Review and process NGO Financial Reports.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and contact vendors as required.ย
- Assist in preparing supporting documents requested by internal units, program audit, or IOM colleagues.
- Bring to the attention of Senior Programme Associate (IP Support โ Financials) and/or related program staff any relevant financial and reporting issues.ย
- Support the review of Prepayment and Standard invoices in WAVE as needed.ย
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned. Education
- High school diploma with five years of relevant professional experience; or,
- Bachelorโs degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in administrative and financial management, budget monitoring, cash management and internal control procedures.
- Experience with international humanitarian organizations, nonโgovernment or government institutions/organization in a multiโcultural setting is an advantage.
- Experience in Finance and/or Accounting, preferably with international organizations. Skills
- Knowledge of International and Ukrainian Accounting Standards.
- Knowledge of IPSAS, SAP/PRISM and WAVE a distinct advantage.
- High level of computer literacy, in particular, experience in computerized accounting systems and software. Good knowledge of MS Office specifically Excel. Languages
